The popular outdoor arts series at Yerba Buena Gardens is set to kick off its 2023 season on Saturday, May 6, with a jazzy double bill. First up is Bay Area percussionistJohn Santosand his Roots of Jazz Latino sextet, which includes legendary Fania All-Stars multi-percussionist Orestes Vilató and Afro-Peruvian vocalist Marina Lavalle. The Afro-Peruvian Coalition rounds out the lineup with a set by conguero/vocalistBraulio Barrera, percussionist/vocalistPedro Rosalesand dancerNadia Calmet.
