What do “Doctor Who,” “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and Broadway have in common? Jinkx Monsoon, of course.
The winner of the drag queen competition and spinoff “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” will be bringing her musical comedy show “Everything at Stake” to the Warfield on Aug. 10.
Monsoon has been booked and busy since her reality show wins, starring as Mama Morton in “Chicago” on Broadway and putting out her own musical projects. She is also set set to play a significant role in the BBC’s upcoming season of “Doctor Who.”
Monsoon is touring with a full rock band for the “Everything at Stake” shows, performing original music that blends the realms of acting, drag and comedy with her musical passions. The show is personal and poignant with a touch of witchy flair, drawing parallels between the witch hunts of the 14th and 15th centuries and the mistreatment of the queer community amid discriminatory legislation and intolerance.
Attendees must be 18 years or older.
