15岁文盲背井离乡。 她搭便车进连环杀手车(Kiefer Sutherland ) — —事情并不像连环杀手计划的那样顺利进行。
The movie is phenomenally harsh. Witherspoon plays a girl who has seen so much of the dark side of life that when the serial killer reveals his identity, she says, "Why did you kill all those girls, Bob?" That moment is oddly funny, like many in "Freeway," but it's a good character moment, too. As played by Witherspoon, the girl asks the question without all that much judgment. He is just one in a panorama of miserable adults she has met. The film was written and directed by Matthew Bright and was something of a local hit at the Roxie Cinema (now the Roxie Theater) back in 1996.
