In celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop music, LL Cool J embarks on his first headlining arena tour in 30 years, bringing a crew of iconic artists along with him for each stop.
The Grammy winner, an industry trailblazer with a nearly five-decade career, was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021 and became the first hip-hop artist to receive Kennedy Center Honors in 2017.
LL Cool J first got the idea for the tour after the salute to hip-hop at this year’s Grammy Awards. He describes the tour as “a nonstop party,” with special guests rotating throughout the 18-stop tour. Among the artists slated to join for the San Francisco concert are “Ladies First” singer Queen Latifah, New Jersey-born rapper Ice-T and ’90s hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa.
The F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) Tour makes its Bay Area stop on Friday, Sept. 1, at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Standard tickets and VIP packages are available online.
