The latest installment of Jesse Hawthorne Ficks’ always energizing Movies for Maniacs series at the Castro Theatre promises to be quite the San Francisco treat.
“A Genuine Tribute toBarbra Streisand,Peter BogdanovichandDavid Hegarty,” is set to feature two Streisand classics in 35mm — Bogdanovich’s 1972 screwball comedy “What’s Up, Doc?” and Streisand’s 1983 directorial debut, “Yentl” — and a celebration of Hegarty,卡斯特罗的长期风琴演奏者。
