San Francisco, get ready for your new favorite live interview series.
Each month, Chronicle arts and culture writer Tony Bravo plans to interview the people making headlines in the Bay Area and beyond at Four One Nine. The first scheduled event will see Bravo interview San Francisco drag legend Peaches Christ (aka “All About Evil” filmmaker Joshua Grannell), whose Into the Dark production company runs the hugely popular “Terror Vault” show. Their discussion will run the gamut from early childhood queer and horror influences, to their thoughts on the city’s LGBTQ culture and how Peaches Christ became the Bay Area’s drag queen of Halloween.
Each “Show & Tell” event will begin with an icebreaker activity that takes Bravo and his guest out of their comfort zones. After that, they will sit down for a conversation that goes beyond the stories you’ve read and answers you’ve heard. Part talk show and part cocktail party, “Show & Tell” is the kiki you always wanted with the region’s most exciting tastemakers.
